CNC Machining + Aluminum Extrusion:
The method of CNC aluminium extrusion involves pushing molten material through a die’s opening to create an extended component with a continuous profile. Although cnc aluminum extrusion is a useful process for creating functional parts with high-quality surface finishes and intricate cross-sections, its use is restricted since the cross-sections must be uniform throughout the item.
Unless, of course, extrusion results in modifications to the component. The pieces produced by extrusion of aluminum can be post-machined, or cut in different ways, using a CNC milling aluminum machining center, because extrusion often involves malleable, ductile, and machinable grades of aluminum, such as 6061 and 6063. Creating strong products with intricate cross-sections and asymmetrical geometries is a terrific idea when combining extrusion and CNC machining.
